Crockerne Swimming Pool is the swimming pool attached to Crockerne C.o.E Primary School. It’s a small friendly pool ideally suited to children up to the age of 11 and other non-swimmers.
As well as being used the school to teach the children to swim, it is also opened by our volunteer led group on Saturday Mornings for members of the public to use, and it is available for private hire. It is also available for swimming lessons via third party swimming schools.
The pool itself is heated, but shelters under a geodesic fibre glass dome which is not insulated, as a result the pool is only open from April to October each year. We have plans to improve on this, and are fund raising to improve and renovate the pool.
It has private changing rooms and a pool side shower. We try and keep it at 29°C so it’s suitable even for the smallest children and babies. It has shallow steps to get down into it which are lovely for the non-swimmers to sit and play on.
